Could Marvel's TV Kingpin Cross Over To Spider-Man: Homecoming? Here's What We Know
One of the reasons for the Daredevil TV shows success on Netflix is Vincent DOnofrios captivating portrayal of Wilson Fisk, better known in the comics as The Kingpin. Thanks to many episodes of screen time, the character has proven himself shown time and time again to be one of the MCUs most intimidating and charismatic villains in both movies and television. Although Kingpin is one of Daredevils greatest enemies, he is also one of the many members of Spider-Mans rogues gallery, and recently, the possibility of DOnofrio joining Spider-Man: Homecoming found its way online.

Late last week, a rumor came out suggesting that DOnofrio may appear as Fisk in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This eventually found its way to the actors eyes, and he quickly set the record straight on his Twitter page, saying its doubtful this will happen.

Although a Spider-Man: Homecoming villain hasnt been officially been revealed yet, several reports indicate it will be The Vulture, and last week, it was rumored that The Tinkerer might be involved as well. Michael Keaton is also in final negotiations to play the movies villain (whoever that may be), so it sounds like theyre already covered on big name actors playing evildoers. That said, Vincent DOnofrio tweeted out the next day that he would be on board with Fisk antagonizing the Web-Slinger at some point.

Should that happen, he would not only be the second Kingpin to appear in a live action movie (the first was Michael Clarke Duncans in 2003s Daredevil), but he would also be the first major MCU TV villain to jump to the big screen. If anyone should be given that honor, its DOnofrios Wilson Fisk.

Warning: spoilers for Daredevil Season 2 are ahead!

Besides Vincent DOnofrio ruling out an appearance, the main problem with including Wilson Fisk in Spider-Man: Homecoming is that his work on Daredevil isnt finished yet. When we last left Fisk in Season 2, he was still stuck in prison, but he had just accumulated enough power to rule the complex. His sights are now set on dishing out revenge against Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson, the two attorneys who locked him away. The Defenders miniseries is also arriving before Daredevil Season 3, which hasnt even been officially ordered yet, so it may be a while before Fisk finds himself a free man and rebuilds the criminal empire he once had. Once that happens and Fisk has another conflict with the Man Without Fear, maybe then he and Spider-Man could battle each other in one of the Wall-Crawlers sequels, which we all know will inevitably be ordered.

Spider-Man: Homecoming swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
